There is an art to taking photographs, and photographs become art. What I love about the pictures you see here is that each was inspired by a simple object. The Indian mask, the waterwheel and the fencepost are all simple objects that have become works of art. My favorite image is of the girl under the light. We were at Indian Grinding Rocks State Park and I noticed the Indian meeting house was empty and the ray of light streaming in from a hole in the roof. I directed my Goddaughter to do something cute under the light. Being in a very spiritual place caused her to reach for the light; not only were we awe inspired by the location, this photo invokes a sense of mystery and majesty.
